Annual Car Show

The event will be held on Saturday May 4th, 2019 in the main parking lot at Washington High School. Registration begins at 6:30 AM an closes at 1 AM, and is $20 + 2 canned foods per vehicle. The show will start at 8 AM and run until the end of the awards ceremony which starts at 2:30 PM. There is no admission fee, but there are raffle tickets to buy!

Started in 2003, students of Mission Valley R.O.P.’s Automotive Technology courses at Washington High School teamed up with the course instructor, Doug Nahale, to organize and run a car show and canned food drive every year. What began as a simple get-together for a student service-hour opportunity morphed into a successful nonprofit organization and a great car show. Now in our fifteenth year, we attract hundreds of owners from around the Bay Area and beyond to our event. To reinforce the original purpose, our registration fee includes a minimum of 2 canned food items. Our success is measured in how much we can support our community - for us that means the local food bank. It also means bringing people together to enjoy our common passion: automobiles. Whether its a custom rebuilt 1957 Chevrolet, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, a new professional dragster, or any of a million different autos, we appreciate them all. With food, music, raffle prizes and judges’ awards, our car show is all about having a good time and great cars. We expect continued growth in our program and long-lasting effects on our students and our community. The Husky Performance Team strives to bring high school students into the world of community service, and we don’t see a better way for us to do that than with a community of cars.

The Husky Performance Team appreciates all who have attended our car show, as well as all businesses and individuals who have sponsored our event. We are continuously looking for new attendants and new sponsors to further our effect on our community.
