I want to tell you how happy I am that you are visiting my page today. Let me share a few aspects of my educational and employment history with you. I want you to feel confident that you are getting the most up-to-date information from a teacher with over twenty-five years of public and school health experience.

For a quarter of a century, in various public health and school health agencies, I have devoted my life to developing an educational delivery system that will enable every adolescent and adult to increase their quality of life.

I hold a master's degree in health education and spent my undergraduate work in physical education at Ithaca College in New York. I have public and school health experience from New York to Oakland. Those experiences inspired me to extend my background in researching solutions globally for infectious diseases,  nutritional deficiencies, psychiatric diseases, unintended pregnancies and substance abuse.  I also have a strong interest in the study of organ development and neural development to help with the understanding of human disease.

I am also the founder of the "Zackary Josephson Project" which helps high school juniors and seniors  gain expertise in the field of human disability.  The students spend over 20 hours a year working with our special needs students in the area of recreation, literature and life skills. The students gain experience as teachers and mentors, but most of all, they develop an understanding about how complicated and often rewarding working with other students with special needs can be.  It is a great opportunity to gain high school credit and career experience for the future.
