Peer Resource

Helping handPeer Resource is a program at Washington High that brings students together through a community of Peer Advocates (Peer Resource student representatives) who encourage a positive environment of support for all students at school. Through different events/activities and our Buddy Program, Advocates act as
allies to all.

Peer Resource Buddy Program

This program allows students to reach out to an Advocate to share their thoughts/discuss personal problems with a peer they trust. Advocates maintain a 100% confidentiality and act as the ideal friend/ally to their Buddy. Advocates and Buddies arrange meeting times that take place on campus and during school hours. Meetings can vary from 5 to 30 minutes and occur as many times a week a Buddy wants. Buddies can refer themselves or be referred by administration, a counselor/teacher, or through the COST program. Counselors may often times become involved in the process if a Buddy’s situation escalates/seeks professional assistance. Fill out the following form if you are interested in participating in the Buddy Program as a Buddy, and a Peer Advocate will reach out to you asap:
