All paperwork must be turned into the Athletic Director prior to trying out. Collection dates will be posted on the main WHS Athletics page.

Over the summer and during the fall sports season, wrestling will have off-season practices held over at Newark Memorial HS with the Kaitoa Wrestling Club.
- Practices are Monday-Friday from 5:45pm-8pm. Practices are not mandatory, but the more you go, the more prepared you will be for the season.
- USA Wrestling membership cards are required to participate in practices and compete
- You must create a profile and purchase a USAW "ATHLETE" Card ($60) from the USA Wrestling website.
- Add "Kaitoa Wrestling Club" as your "Affiliate Club". We will print and laminate your cards for you, it will save you $12
- Kaitoa Wrestling Club will have practices from the summer till around Nov 1, 2023.
- Kaitoa Wrestling Club requires a USAW membership card to participate in practices and compete. You must add a headshot, just like a school ID to your USAW card. We cannot print out the card without it.
- Your USAW Card is valid and you are cleared to begin practices as soon as you complete your purchase, you do not have to wait. I can see your membership on my end.
- USAW cards are good from Sept 1 - Aug 31 the following year and will then need to be renewed. That money goes directly to USAW, not our club. Our club is free to join.
- Kaitoa Wrestling Club is a competition club. We will be going to tournaments all around the bay area to compete.
- Kaitoa Wrestling Club is open to all ages. If you have a little one, bring them a partner so they have someone to roll with.
