Credit Recovery

Students who have failed a required course for graduation will need to explore FUSD's credit recovery opportunities.

FUSD Summer School

Summer school is the first recommended opportunity for students to recover credit and/or grade improve a college prep course.

Important Factors to Consider:

  • Any student who has earned a "D" or "F" grade will be considered for summer school
  • Students are required to earn at least a "C" or better to meet university requirements, as well as to progress onto next level courses (i.e. math, science, language)
  • Summer school is for credit recovery/grade improvement only. Students who are looking to attend summer school for course acceleration will not be accepted

Attending summer school is vital in a student's progress towards graduation as opportunities are limited. If a student continues to fail required courses, alternative high school education will be considered by the student's counselor.
